Otterbourg Bankruptcy practice chair Melanie Cyganowski spoke on the Expert Webcast panel “Outlook for Bankruptcy and Restructuring 2024.”
Cyganowski, who was previously chief judge for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York, was joined by other leading practitioners in a program examining the outlook for bankruptcies and restructurings by industry and geography. The discussion covered both in-court and out-of-court options for companies in distress, as well as issues relating to access to capital, risk mitigation and performance improvement strategies, and duties of officers and directors of companies facing bankruptcy or restructuring.
