Summer Associate Program
Our summer associate program will provide you with a real sense of what it would be like to practice law at Otterbourg. Our summers rotate through at least three of the firm's principal practice areas, directly experiencing the type of substantive work for which the firm is known. You’ll have the opportunity to attend court and depositions, client meetings and closings, and fully participate in the daily life of the firm.
Each practice area has at least one mentor (typically a senior associate) who is responsible for monitoring your assignments and assisting with your integration into the practice area. Your mentors provide formal and informal support as you make the transition from law student to lawyer, often becoming trusted colleagues in the years to come. You’ll also work directly with members of the firm on a wide variety of projects, from conducting legal research to drafting transactional documents, motions and briefs. This one-on-one experience provides unique opportunities for our summer associates to build relationships and receive real-time training and professional feedback.
