Melanie Cyganowski and David Castleman to Speak on Federal Bar Council Panel

Otterbourg P.C. partners Melanie Cyganowski and David Castleman will be speaking on the Federal Bar Council panel “Resolution of Mass Torts in Federal Court - MDLs Versus Bankruptcies” on March 5. The panel will analyze the statutory and jurisdictional limits of the bankruptcy process in different jurisdictions as well as the advantages and disadvantages of each.
Cyganowski is the chair of Otterbourg’s Bankruptcy practice and has served a full 14-year term as a Bankruptcy Judge in the Eastern District of New York. Castleman, the panel moderator, is a member of the firm’s Restructuring & Bankruptcy, Litigation, and Privacy & Cybersecurity Departments, where he focuses primarily on federal equity receiverships and complex litigation in state and federal courts.
