Melanie Cyganowski Featured on the IFLR Women in Business Law 2023 Shortlist

Melanie Cyganowski, the chair of Otterbourg's Restructuring and Bankruptcy practice and former Chief Bankruptcy Judge for the Eastern District of New York, has been shortlisted as finalist for the IFLR Women in Business Law 2023 awards as a Restructuring & Insolvency Lawyer of the Year. The winner will be announced on June 8 at the live awards ceremony.
Ms. Cyganowski has previously been recognized by the New York Law Journal as a Distinguished Leader, by the New York Institute of Credit in the Annual Honorable Cecilia H. Goetz Award, and as one of the 75 “Outstanding Women Lawyers” by the National Law Journal. She is a Fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy, on the Editorial Advisory Board of Norton Journal of Bankruptcy Practice & Law, and an adjunct professor at St. John’s University School of Law. She is additionally active in philanthropic organizations, including Tina’s Wish.
