Otterbourg Expands Its Finance and Corporate Practices with the Hiring of Tarnetta Jones

Otterbourg P.C. announced that Tarnetta V. Jones has joined the firm as Of Counsel in both the Banking & Finance and the Corporate departments. Having started her career at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy, Ms. Jones later became a partner in the Corporate department of Kirkland & Ellis. Subsequently, Ms. Jones founded and served as CEO of ACATA, a legal and strategic services firm serving entrepreneurs and founders of early stage startups companies.
Ms. Jones represents various public and private companies, including institutional lenders, finance companies, private equity and hedge fund sponsors as well as startup companies in a wide range of industries. Her practice focuses on general corporate matters, corporate governance and complex domestic and cross-border transactions, including debt and equity financings, acquisitions, and restructurings

Ms. Jones’ practice spans a number of industries, including financial services, computer software and hardware, manufacturing and production, education, retail, telecommunications and media. She also has extensive pro bono experience having worked on matters involving The Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights, The Legal Aid Society, The Bazelon Center for Mental Health Law and the United Nations Women's Guild. Ms. Jones has a B.A., cum laude, from Wake Forest University and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
